Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery:

Ajax-Pickering Hospital (2 positions)

The Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) is currently seeking two surgeons to join our team at our Ajax-Pickering Hospital. The successful applicants will share 1:8.5 call, covering Lakeridge Health’s 4 acute, 1 chronic care and 1 ambulatory surgical sites. ER coverage is provided at Oshawa and Ajax-Pickering hospitals. The recruited surgeons will join the Ajax-Pickering site and be provided operative time in an equitable fashion at Ajax-Pickering, Jerry Coughlan and, as available, at Oshawa sites. The applicants will be expected to provide comprehensive general OHNS services.

The LH surgical team is represented by General Surgery, Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Ophthalmology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and Urology. Both Oshawa and Ajax-Pickering hospitals are supported by full ER, ICU, and Radiology/Interventional Radiology teams. Opportunities for Adjunct Faculty appointments exist at both the University of Toronto and Queen’s University.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be eligible for licensure by the CPSO and must have completed or be expected to complete a recognized Otolaryngology residency program, leading to FRCSC certification.
