Advancing Spiritual Care Excellence

Congratulations to Spiritual Health Practitioner, Duke Oliogu, who recently became a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner through the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). With this notable milestone, Duke now assumes the pivotal role of Provisional Teaching Supervisor, leading the way in the facilitation of this learning and service program at Lakeridge Health.

Lakeridge Health is a teaching centre for the Clinical Psychospiritual Education (CPE) program in affiliation with the Toronto School of Theology and the University of Toronto. This interfaith program is dedicated to fostering the spiritual care identities of clergy, ministry candidates, and spiritual care workers, while also advancing their skills in the delivery of spiritual and religious care.

As part of this commitment to excellence in education, the CPE program recently marked the graduation of four students from the inaugural session, with nine students participating in the upcoming summer session.

A special thank you goes out to Duke and Academic Affairs for their support in facilitating this transformative program! Together, we’re shaping a brighter future for spiritual care and well-being in our Durham Region community.
