Lakeridge Health Launches “This Is Lakeridge Health” Brand Awareness Campaign

Lakeridge Health and This is Lakeridge Health logos.(Durham Region) – OCTOBER 30, 2025 Lakeridge Health has launched This is Lakeridge Health, a year-long campaign to raise awareness of the services the health network provides and connect more people to the care they need and deserve, close to home.

Many people still do not know what Lakeridge Health is or are even aware of the full range of care available in Durham Region. Some people believe Lakeridge Health is just one hospital. But that is far from the truth. Lakeridge Health is more than a hospital. It is a health network that includes five hospitals, a long-term care home, a community-based surgical centre, and more than 30 community sites.

“Lakeridge Health is shaping the future of care across Durham Region, serving 750,000 residents through an integrated network that reaches people from all walks of life,” said Cynthia Davis, President and CEO, Lakeridge Health. “We’re advancing services, expanding access, and ensuring no one is left behind. We know the best care should always be close to home and available to everyone. Together, we’re realizing our vision of One System. Best Health.

Lakeridge Health delivers compassionate, high-quality care across the region. As a leading academic health institution, it also trains the next generation of health care professionals and helps shape the future of care in Ontario.

“From emergency care to surgery, cancer treatment, mental health and addictions services, and long-term care, our teams are putting expertise into action,” said Dr. Randy Wax, Chief of Staff, Lakeridge Health. “Together with our community partners, we’re building towards a comprehensive system of care defined by excellence, innovation, and compassion. This is Lakeridge campaign recognizes the people and programs that bring our commitment to exceptional care for all of Durham Region to life.”

The campaign will feature stories from across the organization, spotlighting programs achieving exceptional results, areas often misunderstood, and the people who make care possible every day.

Shara Santan, Senior Director of Strategic Communications, whose team is leading the campaign, added: “Our goal is to share the stories that reflect the heart of our community – stories that help people see themselves in the care we provide. As Durham Region continues to grow and welcome newcomers, this campaign brings forward diverse voices and experiences, so everyone knows where to turn for care close to home. When we tell our story together, we build understanding, trust, and connection across our region.”
