Research

At Lakeridge Health, research is at the core of our mission to enhance lives and advance patient care. With over 140 active studies across more than 20 programs, many of which are clinical trials, our research department supports a dynamic and expanding portfolio that spans both clinical and non-clinical initiatives. We take pride in contributing to both academic and industry-sponsored research while also nurturing home-grown, investigator-led projects. Our work helps generate new knowledge, expand treatment options, and drive improvements to healthcare delivery, both locally and beyond. Whether you're a patient, potential collaborator, or sponsor, we invite you to explore how our research is making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Areas of Focus

Research at Lakeridge Health is organized into three major categories:

  • Clinical Research
This area involves studying health and disease in individuals to better understand how to prevent, diagnose, and manage various conditions. It includes observational studies, registries, and research focused on health-related outcomes and quality of life.

  • Clinical Trials
Clinical Trials are rigorously designed studies that evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new treatments, therapies, or medical devices. The majority of our active studies fall into this category, bringing innovative care options directly to our patients.

  • Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation
These studies examine how healthcare is delivered and experienced, focusing on systems, processes, and outcomes to improve quality, access, and equity across our services.
