Clinical Utilization & GEMINI Physician Lead

Lakeridge Health is seeking expressions of interest from credentialed physicians interested in serving as the Clinical Utilization & GEMINI Physician Lead.
This physician leadership role provides an opportunity to support data-informed clinical improvement, resource stewardship, and physician engagement across the organization. Working collaboratively with operational, quality, analytics, and physician leaders, the successful candidate will help ensure that clinical utilization initiatives and GEMINI data are interpreted and applied within the context of frontline patient care.
The appointment is for a two-year term, with the possibility of extension.

This role will help bridge clinical practice and analytics by fostering physician engagement, promoting trust in data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring physician perspectives help shape organizational priorities. The Physician Lead will work collaboratively across departments to advance a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and evidence-informed decision-making.
Role Overview
The Clinical Utilization & GEMINI Physician Lead will:
  • Co-chair the Clinical Utilization Committee alongside administrative leadership.
  • Serve as the physician lead for GEMINI initiatives at Lakeridge Health.
  • Champion physician engagement in clinical utilization, patient flow, quality improvement, and resource stewardship initiatives.
  • Support meaningful interpretation and use of clinical data by providing clinical context and physician perspectives.
  • Foster collaboration between physicians, operational leaders, and data analytics teams.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve care delivery, efficiency, and patient outcomes through data-informed decision-making.

  • Be an Active Credentialed Staff member at Lakeridge Health.
  • Demonstrate credibility and respect among physician colleagues.
  • Have an interest in quality improvement, clinical utilization, health system performance, and data-informed care.
  • Possess strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Be able to work effectively with physicians, operational leaders, and analytic teams to support organizational priorities.
Previous leadership, quality improvement, utilization management, or health system improvement experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5–6 hours per month

  • Ability to engage physician colleagues and build consensus.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and data-informed care.
  • Alignment with the needs of the organization and the Clinical Utilization Committee.
