Lakeridge Health is seeking a Cardiologist to join our growing, high-impact team at our Oshawa site. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful clinical practice within a large, multi-site hospital system while contributing to medical education, system improvement, and the evolution of a community-based academic health system grounded in high-quality, equitable care.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of clinical activities, including:
- Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU)
- Cardiology consultation service
- Cardiac diagnostics and imaging, including transthoracic echocardiography
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and nuclear cardiology, depending on the candidate’s expertise
- Heart Function Clinic
- Cardiac device program, including pacemaker implantation and device clinic follow-up for appropriately trained physicians

Lakeridge Oshawa site is located approximately 30 minutes east of Toronto, offering the flexibility to live locally in Durham Region or in Toronto while maintaining a convenient commute.

Qualifications
Required
- Hold, or be eligible for, independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Be certified, or eligible for certification, in Cardiology by Royal College of Physicians in Canada
- Be eligible for hospital privileges at Lakeridge Health
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, patient-centred, and equitable care
- Work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Preferred / Assets
- Interest or experience in medical education, quality improvement or program development.
· Expertise in heart failure and/or cardiac imaging, and/or Level III echocardiography certification would be an asset. However, all qualified Cardiologists are encouraged to apply, including those with other areas of clinical expertise.
Compensation and Appointment
- Appointment type: Associate / Permanent
- Compensation model: OHIP /stipend
- Start date: To be determined
