Medical Affairs

Medical Affairs provides leadership and oversight for the professional governance of physicians and other credentialed health professionals (i.e., midwives, dentists) practicing at Lakeridge Health.

As a strategic partner within the organization and across the health system, we work collaboratively with Medical Leaders, hospital leadership, Canadian hospitals, regulatory bodies, and external professional organizations. This ensures that credentialing, appointments, and professional practice processes reflect regulatory expectations, sector standards, and organizational priorities.

Medical Affairs also serves as a trusted resource and guide for physicians and credentialed professionals, helping navigate organizational processes and connecting individuals with appropriate teams and external partners.

Through this strategic coordination and partnership, Medical Affairs supports safe, high-quality patient care, strong medical leadership, and a sustainable professional workforce that meets the needs of our communities and the evolving healthcare context.
