Lakeridge Health invites passionate, community-minded leaders to apply to its Board of Trustees and help guide the future of health care in Durham Region. As our communities evolve, we are committed to a Board that reflects diverse perspectives and brings innovative thinking to today’s complex health-care challenges.

A Board enriched by diverse lived experiences strengthens governance, oversight, and accountability, and supports equitable, high-quality care. We strongly encourage applications from individuals from historically under-represented groups as part of our commitment to an accessible, welcoming health-care system for all.

While we welcome candidates from many professional backgrounds, we are particularly interested at this time in individuals with expertise in:

• Accounting
• Information technology
• Health-care delivery
• Infrastructure planning
• Quality, risk management, and patient safety

Trustees provide strategic leadership, steward the public trust, and advocate for exceptional care and community wellbeing. The Board meets approximately eight times per year, and Trustees are expected to serve on at least one standing committee, which typically meets monthly.
