Problem Gambling, Gaming and Technology Use
Pinewood Centre’s Problem Gambling, Gaming and Technology Use Program offers a variety of services to both individuals identifying harm with their behaviours or their loved ones. The program uses a variety of modalities to support clients meeting their personal goals.
Treatment options include:
- Individual sessions
- Support for family members
- Group therapy
- Psychoeducation groups, such as Connections and Beyond the Game
After the initial intake is completed, clients are referred to an addiction counsellor on the Program Gambling, Gaming and Technology team and a comprehensive biopsychosocial interview is conducted and a treatment plan established to support the identified needs of each client.
Clients can self-refer and are able to access services at any of Pinewood Centre’s Community Treatment locations
