Crisis Call Diversion Program

The Crisis Call Diversion program is a partnership between Lakeridge Health and Durham Region Police Service to provide in the moment mental health supports for non-imminent risk mental health 911 calls to move away from a police response and toward community-based supports. 

A Lakeridge Health Mental Health Clinician will respond to callers in order to assess risk, safety plan, provide crisis intervention, and link callers to appropriate services.
