Geriatric Emergency Medicine

The Geriatric Emergency Management (GEM) service consists of Geriatric Clinicians who work in the Emergency Departments.  The Geriatric Clinicians have specialized knowledge to assess issues associated with aging that negatively impact quality of life and overall wellness such as changes in cognition and function.  Together with the Emergency Department team, the Geriatric Clinicians work with seniors, their families and care partners to connect with appropriate resources and services in the community.
