In 2025/26, Lakeridge Health Foundation proudly celebrated our 50th anniversary. As we reflect on five decades of donor impact, we want to recognize the profound difference this community has made for Lakeridge Health and patient care across Durham Region.
We began our fiscal year with an exciting collaboration! Lakeridge Health joined forces with Grandview Kids on a groundbreaking partnership, opening Canada’s first procedure clinic to deliver anaesthesia-assisted paediatric care in a Children’s Centre to families across Durham Region. Thanks to $1 million in community support, the Grandview Anaesthesia Clinic in Ajax is outfitted with hospital-level technology and equipment so that children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs can receive specialized care with anaesthesia. We are thrilled and proud to support a project that will provide families with personalized health care in a comfortable, familiar environment, surrounded by a trusted team they already know.

At our Whitby Hospital, the replacement of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water System represents a significant upgrade in patient care, enhancing the dialysis experience for over 100 patients who rely on the Howard and Stephanie Humphrey Dialysis Centre each week. Donor support of this vital priority is ensuring that Lakeridge Health’s Regional Nephrology Program can continue providing life-sustaining dialysis care to our community.
In October, we launched a campaign to advance the Diagnostic Imaging department at our Oshawa Hospital. Inspired by the expertise of our Radiologists and heartfelt stories of patient care, our donors rallied to help us fund four ultrasound machines, a Gamma Camera and a CT Scanner. In April 2026, the team celebrated the arrival of the new CT Scanner, a milestone for our local community!
In 2025/26, we raised over $7.8 million in revenue and granted over $2.4 million to the Oshawa and Whitby Hospitals. This is possible because of our incredible donors and the medical experts at Lakeridge Health who inspire them. Our donors are driven to support us because of the kind and compassionate care you continue to provide to our community.
As we reflect on the past our past year, we are inspired by what can be accomplished when our community comes together. We can’t wait to see what the next 50 years have in store!
