Minor Treatment and Ambulatory Care

When most people think of surgery, they imagine being sedated and an overnight stay in the hospital to recover. But some minor surgical procedures are done quickly without the need for an overnight stay. Some of these procedures include the removal of lesions, wound care and excisions.

At Lakeridge Health Oshawa these procedures are preformed in the Minor Treatment Clinic at Ajax Pickering these procedures are preformed in the Ambulatory Care Unit.

At Lakeridge Health, we perform these minor surgical treatments at our Oshawa site. Please contact your surgeon's office directly for more information about your booking.

Directions

At Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering, kiosks and staff are located on the main floor near the West entrance. Patients are advised to check in at the central registration before proceeding to the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU). For patients with mobility challenges, they can go directly to the ACU, where they can use the phone to contact staff. A team member will assist with registration and bring an armband to them.

At Lakeridge Health Oshawa, from the main lobby, take the escalator to the second floor. The Surgical Registration Desk is located through the doors to the right.
