Clinical Externs are paid positions to help learners gain work experience under supervision. This program offers nursing students an exciting opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real hospital setting—Building hands-on experience, confidence and clinical skills in a supportive, supervised environment. Clinical externs gain insights into day-to-day responsibilities of nurses, including how they communicate and collaborate within the health care team.
The transitional role is designed to immerse you in the healthcare environment and prepare you or your future as a nursing profession. It’s also a valuable stepping stone toward joining our team as a graduate!
Open to students in accredited Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs, this role follows the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) guidelines for unregulated health providers.
