Recruitment Update
Thank you for the incredible interest in our Summer Student Volunteer Program 2026. We appreciate the enthusiasm and care our student community has shown.
At this time, student recruitment is full as we carefully review the many applications we have received. Students who have already applied will be contacted by March 2 if selected to move forward with an interview. Due to the high volume of interest, only those selected will be contacted.
We are grateful for the time and interest students have shared with us and encourage interested students to check out this webpage regularly.
Adult Volunteer Recruitment – Open
Volunteer recruitment is currently open for adult volunteers who are not enrolled in school (high school, college, university, or trade school) at the sites listed below.
If this applies to you, please review the available sites' roles and click here to apply. If you have any questions or would like support, please do not hesitate to contact us at volunteer@lh.ca. We are happy to help.
Why Volunteer?
Studies have shown that volunteerism improves health by strengthening the body, improving mood and lessening stress. Additionally, volunteering can increase self-esteem, enhance various skills and expand career paths.
